We’re approaching the end of the college football season and 100% of our focus is on the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. That’s what you do in Tuscaloosa. That’s what you do anytime your team plays in the title game for the fourth straight year.
There’s been plenty of analysis for Alabama-Clemson, part IV. This game has been dissected and discussed from many different angles. Tua and Trevor. Swinney and Saban. Plenty of storylines and a lot to be excited about.
But let’s take a look at this matchup of No. 1 vs No. 2 from a betting perspective. That’s what I did during The Odds Hour this week on Tide 102.9. Former Alabama All-American Mike Johnson joined the show and we tried to make sense of the point spread (Bama -5.5) and the total (59.5). I also threw some prop bets his way and discussed which side we fall on for the team totals (Clemson -27.5, Bama – 32.5).
Have a listen in the link below. For the record, I’ve said all season that we’re witnessing history with this Crimson Tide team but I don’t feel like they cover this week. Clemson has a lot of firepower along with a stout defense. Give me 31-30 and No. 18 for Alabama.
